Safeguarding

The Diocese of Bristolaims to create communities of wholeness with Christ at the centre. Our church communities need to be places where all are safe and protected from abuse, all can be healed and all can live life to the full.

At St Mary’s Fishponds, we seek to provide effective safeguarding training, support, advice and policies, so that children, young people and vulnerable adults are safe from abuse in the life of the Church and their wellbeing is enhanced.

Our Safeguarding Officers are Clare Munoz and Kate Hancocks. They can be contacted at psostmarys@outlook.com. This is a new email address, if you have recently emailed on another address and not had a reply, please resend your email to the new address.

For any concerns relating to a young person and/or adult at risk, please contact Adam Bond, Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor on 0117 9060132 (Monday to Friday 9am-5pm).

If out of hours and the matter is of an urgent nature, please contact the local police on 101.

You can find our safeguarding policy here.
