Week beginning Sunday 12th June 2022

“We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1

Greetings dear friends on this Trinity Sunday,

Trinity Sunday celebrates how in the coming of the Holy Spirit, God is revealed to us as a relational God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It’s a relationship of equality, unity and love. And the joy for us as God’s people is that, through Jesus, we are invited to step into and take part in that ‘divine dance’. As our reading from Romans says, ‘we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.’

As God’s beloved people of peace, we are gathering in different ways this coming Sunday 12th June:

• 8.00am Holy Communion with Rev. Lizzie (All Saints)

• 10.00am Holy Communion with Rev. Lizzie (St Mary’s)

• 10.30am Messy / Muddy Church with Rev. Janey and Elisa (All Saints)

And in the week ahead:

• Wednesday 15th – 9.00am Celtic Morning Prayer at All Saints

• Thursday 16th – 10.00am Holy Communion at St Mary’s

Next Sunday 19th June, we have:

• Creative Church at St Mary’s Church at 10am

• Holy Communion at All Saints at 10.30am

• Choral Evensong at St Mary’s at 6.30pm

I finish with a beautiful prayer of peace taken from the church’s liturgy for Trinity Sunday:

Peace to you from God our heavenly Father.
Peace from his Son Jesus Christ who is our peace.
Peace from the Holy Spirit, the life-giver.
The peace of the triune God be always with you.

May you know this week that depth of peace which unites us all in love to God, through Jesus and in the power of the Spirit.

Every blessing,

Revd Janey
